At the Kent International, held this year at K2 in Crawley (while Crystal Palace is being refurbished) 5 members of the club fought at this extremely tough tournament.

In the yellow belt section Marcus Sole was unlucky to finish just out of the medals after some tough fights but Bronze medals were won by Jason Sole and Ellis Rouch and Gold was won by David O’Doherty who finished 1st out of 22 other competitiors.

In the orange and green belt section Zoe Killick fought well to win bronze in her group.

This started a winning streak for Killick as she fought the following weekend for Sussex Judo in the Hampshire Open winning a Silver medal and then again for Kin Ryu at the Class Master Championships last weekend where she got the club off to a flying start taking Silver in her group.

A total of 11 Kin Ryu juniors fought at the Class Master Invitation Championships held in Tumbridge Wells, all fought well and enjoyed their day.

Gold medals went to Jack Thompson, David O’Doherty and Lauren Graves, Silvers went to Lia Thompson, Zoe Killick and James Rivers and Bronze’s went to Ben Wright, Joseph O’Doherty, Adam Funnell, Matthew Graves and Zac Dowding.

Spirit of Judo awards went to Matthew and Zac for their determination and outstanding display of sportsmanship.

Well Done to all!!
